“Sanctum”

Steve Elliott received his BFA from the University of Kansas and his MFA from the University of Maryland. His work has been included in over 40 solo and group exhibitions at national and regional venues. Recent exhibitions include the Plattsburg State Art Museum in Plattsburg, New York, the Foundry Arts Centre in St.. Charles, Missouri, and a recent collaboration with I-Space in Chicago, Illinois. He is an assistant professor of art and design at Wayne State College in Nebraska, where he teaches sculpture, drawing and design.

Sanctum was designed using three-dimensional printing technology, and consists of two interlocking welded steel pyramid forms, implying a place of strength, protection and sanctuary.
